”I remember when I was....I was growing up, I couldn’t wait to....till I got out of school so I could.....get a job someplace....and get some money in my pocket.....and uh....used to be this glass factory outside of town that.....that everybody used to.....go out and try to get a job at....and.....sometimes when I go back....I see a lot of my old friends that ended up doing the same things that....working in the same factory that their father worked in, their grandfather worked in....and uh....when I started to look back and try and figure out why that is, why it’s so hard to break out....break out, do something with yourself....I realised that the thing it was with my old man and his old man.....was that we....we never knew enough, we were never.....smart enough about a lot of things....and in school....I remember when they tried to teach me about history, I was never really interested in it or I didn’t care too much about it....but just a little while ago I read this book History of the United States that’s by this guy Allen Nevins and this other guy, Henry Steele Commager and in it.....I found, uh......lot of answers to the....things that I was wondering about, it’s important that you....I don’t know if you’re interested in that kinda stuff or not but it’s important....you know it’s important that you (cheers).....find out a little bit about the powers and the forces that are gonna ....influence your life as you get older....’cause if you don’t, you’re gonna end up....you just end up trapped....”

”This is for you guys that are married out there tonight.....nobody’s married ? (chuckles) .....and this for Tina from Big Man.....hey Big Man....I used to live in this house....that was right on this main street in town.....and.....we used to sit out on the porch.....every day (?) this one girl walking, walking home from work every day..... and we used to watch and we used to try and attract her attention....I remember I bought this, this guitar for 18 dollars and 95 cents at the Western Autostore (chuckles) (cheers)....and the first song I learned was ‘Twist and Shout’ (cheers)....and I used to sit out there on the porch and I used to, it was three chords, I used to play it.....she never even looked over.....and.....and Clarence, Clarence used to be able to....he would ride by....on his bicycle with no hands, playing a saxophone (cheers)....nothing....never used to, she never used to bat an eye.....sometimes people that you see like that....people that you pass by on the corner or you see.....driving by in a car....and they stay someplace in the back of your head and you don’t ever....you don’t ever forget ‘em..... I used to.....I used to imagine I would go back to that town.....and she would be coming down the street.....and I would have all my albums with me (chuckles) (cheers)....and I would....I would walk by and like ‘Ups....Miss, I dropped my albums (?)’ (chuckles)(cheers).....(?) that....that stuff never works out....the way you think it´s gonna ....hey Max.....Here she comes.....”
