(crowd cheers) alright…this is a song called “Livin´ in the Future”…but it´s about what´s happening now…how along with all the things that we love about the place we come from and all the things we´re proud of… we´ve had to add to the American picture over the past eight years things like rendition and illegal wiretapping and the rolling-back of essential civil liberties…now you may think that either because of your color or your religion that these things don´t have a large effect on your life but it´s all an attack on our Constitution, which is an attack on our very selves as Americans (crowd cheers) and so the mighty E Street Band is here tonight to do something about it (crowd cheers) we´re gonna sing about it!...that´ll teach ´em… we´ll see where it goes…help me tell the story, Max…”
