“Thank you, Charlottesville, thank you, Virginia (crowd cheers) thank you so much…I wanna thank everyone for coming out to our show tonight, thank you so much for coming out and supporting our band (crowd cheers) woo!...yeah…you’ve thrown us a couple of good curves, the toughest one was our own song, that was the toughest one we played (chuckles) I want to, uh…we have some friends in the hall, folks from the Blue Ridge Area Foodbank Network (crowd cheers) the Blue Ridge Area Foodbank was established in 1981 to help feed struggling citizens throughout Virginia, they’ve distributed more than hundred million pounds of food to those in need here in Charlottesville and beyond…all you gotta do is pick up the newspapers today and you see the millions of jobs that have been lost and…in just the past few months seen hundreds of thousands of jobs gone and these grassroots agencies sometimes they’re the, they’re the last safety net for folks between having their kids go to bed hungry and getting something nutritious to eat, in these very difficult times here in America we need to support the Blue Ridge Area Foodbank and foodbanks like it, I appreciate it if you can help them on the way out, whatever you can do, thank you very much (crowd cheers) this was a song written in 1855 by Stephen Foster, it’s called “Hard Times Come Again No More”…”
